What age are the children in your care? Boys and girls in the Chattanooga, Kingsport, Oakdale and Johnson City residential care programs are between the ages of 5 and 18. The children can remain on the campus until graduation from high school and/or college.

Where do the children attend school? The children attend local schools.

What does it cost for a child to be placed at the Children's Homes? TBCH does ask for modest financial contributions from a child's family or guardian.

TBCH does not accept state or federal funds. Our current budget is funded from contributions from individuals, churches, income from endowments, investment income, bequests from estates and income from beneficial trusts.

How do the children come into your care? We receive referrals of children from families, counselors, community service agencies, and pastors.

Do you have any counseling programs for the public? Counseling services through the Tennessee Baptist Children's Homes are open to the public for children and their families. Our counseling programs include, but are not limited to, individual, family, and group counseling and are rendered by qualified TBCH staff.
