Founders Fund
When Mrs. Georgia Eastman and others began the ministry of TBCH in 1891,
it was before the days of the Cooperative Program and the Mother's Day Offering. The needs
of the children were met through direct gifts from donors. This need still exists day.
The Founder's Fund, named in honor of Mrs. Eastman, promotes direct unrestricted donations
for the express purpose of supporting the operating budget of TBCH. While all gifts are important,
the day to day expenses of TBCH are met through unrestricted gifts.
TBCH support received from the Cooperative Program and the Mother's Day Offering
are funds that "pass through" the churches. The Founder's Fund appeal is directed
to individual donors to meet the needs of children "all year long." Meeting the TBCH
budget requires generous, unrestricted gifts from our donors as well as support from the
Cooperative Program and the Mother's Day Offering.
